Open Question: Why is it that the people of Arizona are so smart, yet they elect John McCain as their senator?

Um I lived in Arizona several years ago. I voted for Bush at that time, and John McCain was not thought to be someone who planned on running for president. I couldn't understand how he was elected Senator, because really he is just an idiot. I can agree with some of the things republicans believe, and some of the things democrats believe, but McCain is just an idiot, and the republican party needed someone who was less of a loon than McCain to even stand a chance.

Open Question: Why did a Phoenix Imam Tells Muslims To Disregard U.S. Law?

http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=29545 “A Muslim must try his best to abide by the rulings of Sharia [Islamic law] whenever possible as much as he can. He should not allow himself to be liable to those western laws that contradict the clear-clip Islamic rulings.” The rulings of Sharia, mind you, include stoning for adultery, amputation of the hand for theft, and institutionalized discrimination against women and non-Muslims. But the speaker was not some fanatic Wahhabi in Saudi Arabia; it was the Phoenix-based imam Omar Shahin, president of the North American Imams Foundation. This is probably one reason why, as The Arizona Republic reported Monday, the FBI has stepped up scrutiny of Shahin and other Muslim leaders in Phoenix. Omar Shahin has been in the news before. He is the spokesman for a group

Open Question: About that 8 year old boy in Arizona who shot his father...?

You've probably heard about the 8 year old boy in Arizona who shot and killed his dad and another person. He is being charged with murder and the prosecutor is trying to receive him tried as an adult. Should an 8 year old be tried as an adult for murder? She he really be treated like a 21 year old who commits the same crime? I am a big law and order nice of guy myself, (conservative republican, gun totin, straight up personal responsibility no tears for criminials nice of person), but to me, trying this kid as an adult is a horrible idea. I think the family situation really needs to be looked at and the most probable person responsible for this kid doing this crime is already dead. But what do you think?

Open Question: Will Arizona guv Janet Napolitano clean up the Arizona budget mess before she leaves to serve the Messiah?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/us_usa_obama_cabinet every hail the messiah, Janet has been called home to serve. One little problem is the big budget deficit she has rung up here in dusty old Arizona as she refused to put the brakes on her leftist government goodie giveaway as the tax revenue from speculative homebuilding dried up. What, pray tell, will Comrade Janet do? Clean up her mess before she goes, or leave it in the laps of productive Arizonans like me?

Open Question: Ladies if you were happy in your current relationship?

I know it's not much to go on but I was wondering if you could help me out with a puzzle. My wife (married 2 years) left me for another man. Found out she got engaged to him before we were even divorced. Wished her happiness and went about my way. Well, it's been about 9 months or so now, hadn't talked to her since every that. Out of the blue she sends me an IM saying she is moving back to Arizona. So my question is if a lady leaves husband because she was so unhappy (don't think she was every that unhappy - just think she thought the grass was greener), miserable when she was with her husband (what she's telling people), found someone better before the marriage was over (didn't even give the marriage a chance really), so glad she found her new guy, yadda yadda yadda why would she even bother to take the time to send the ex, that you had so little respect for to start with, an IM saying you're moving back home? Doesn't make any sense. Just curious. I would think maybe she's trying to tell me she wants me back but she's moving here with her fiance - so that doesn't make sense either. I asked this in another section but I guess no one is answering in that section. Thanks for listening.

Open Question: Your TOP ten or five NFL TEAMS. AND EXPLAIN WHY?

10. The Green Bay Packers. They have an incredible pass defense and a very potent offense. If Aaron Rodgers cuts back on the INTs they are a top five team. 9. Tampa Bay Bucs. They have a great defense and really pound the rock. 8. New England Patriots. Matt Cassell 400 yards, and he was supposed to be their weak point. 7. Baltimore Ravens. they have a rookie QB and have one of the leagues best defensess and rushing attacks. 6. Arizona cardinals. Yeah. They have a geezer at the helm and his two WRs can straight ball my friends. 5. Carolina Panthers. They are 8-2. They have the third best record and have two RBs in Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams. They sure know how to run the football. 4. New York Jets. They have Farve, who is overrated right now. They have a nasty Defense and Thomas Jones runs like a bat out of hell. 3. Pittsburgh Steelers. They have had terrible QB performances and somehow their defense and rushing game punishes other teams. Its amazing they are 7-3. 2. Tennessee Titans. 10-0. Nuff said 1. They New York Giants are like the Steelers, Ravens, and Panthers every in one. Plus they have a passing game. I can't look any weak points besides maybe ELi has an off night or somthing.

Open Question: What are my chances of admission at the following schools? ?

What are my chances of admission at the following schools? I am high school sophomore. I currently have a weighted 96 GPA (roughly a 4.0, according to Princeton Review), am enrolled, on average, in 2 or 3 Pre AP classes a year, have a great grasp (I wouldn't say fluent, but by the end of the end of high school I will be) in Spanish and French (as well as, of course, my native English), have won numerous Journalism awards, am involved in UIL Academic Team, Newspaper, Debate and Speech, FCS (Fellowship of Christian Students), Spanish Club, French Club (I'm on the French Club Social Committee), Student Council, and the Eco Club. I have been published in my city's newspaper as well as my school's and hold an internship with my suburb's local paper. I volunteer at the local library, zoo (this summer alone I volunteered 118 hours), and history museums. My volunteer hours as of now are roughly 250-300. Since I am not old enough to hold a real job, I also grade papers for a second grade teacher (I don't know what good this will do on my application, but...) Next summer I am planning on spending 5 weeks at Georgetown University or SMU taking classes so I can receive college credit (and a real look at college life), taking a required computer class with my school so I can open up more room for classes I want to take as a junior, such as Music History and Theory of Knowledge. Also, I will be taking Spanish, Latin, and French classes at a local university. I will be taking a tour with my parents of East Coast and Northeast colleges and univesities I'm interested in, interviewing, touring the campuses, etc. Lastly, I will be studying abroad, probably to Italy, the summer between my Junior and Senior years. The schools I am interested in are (I organized them neatly)... *The University of Texas at Austin *The University of Arizona *The University of Georgia *Auburn University *LSU *Tulane *Emory *SMU *UCLA *The University of Miami *USC *University of Virginia *NYU *Dartmouth (my first choice) *Georgetown *Brown University *Stanford *Vanderbilt *Cornell *Amherst *Williams *Middlebury *Bowdoin *Vassar *Haverford Any tips, advice, criticisms, and thoughts you have are much appreciated. Open Question: Respiratory Problem, Hope Someone Can Help (Somewhat Long)?

Hello, I'm 19 year old male. Well, when I was younger (about 10), I had Bronchitis. But a couple months after, it was fully cured and everything was fine. I mean, between the 9 years, I felt great! Could run, play sports as I did in high school - baseball, basketball, football. Then, a couple months ago (tardy October), the weather where I lived began to change. I live in Phoenix, Arizona and it is usually about 110 degrees every summer long and during October-April, it is getting icy for us! icy = 55-60 in December/January and the other months range from 60-75 etc... Anyway, that's my weather story. Well, in October when the weather started to change, that is when my breathing problem started. I was at a car show where races happpened and there was a lot of exhaust in the air. Might have inhaled something but anyway, that night, I went home and I could not take a deep breath. Breathing felt pretty bad but I was thinking a lot about it so anxiety might have played in as well. Anyway, couple days later, went to the doc and he said I'm perfectly healthy! Lungs are great, heart is fine, no disease and no asthma. He had me take four deep breaths and I could do it easily. So I felt great for about a month and now, it is somewhat back. The temperature has gotten colder and when I am outside at night, my breathing is fine and every, and it does not seemed restricted. It's just that sometimes, I am unable to take a deep breath. Then, go back inside, relax and I can do whatever. Feel great. Also, I do have a icy or allergies I believe, Congested at night and morning, somewhat during the day, runny nose, watery eyes sometimes, sneezing at night etc... Finally, when I exhale at night, there is a little wheezing. I have to plug my ears, turn every sounds off in the room and exhale. And even with that, you can barely hear it. Can't hear anything unless you do that. I'm around family, friends every the time and they never heard me do that. So it's very slight at night especially in this type of weather. So, what's your call? Any info? I am planning on seeing a doctor but looking for someone with insight to help me out so I can have more knowledge and whatnot. OH, I am pretty athletic. Eat healthy, play sports, and I am in College studying to be a Firefighter. Almost done with my degree and did not have a problem working out with them ever. This just popped up really out of nowhere and I still exercise. Play about an hour of basketball a day, run a mile a day, and stuff like that. And nobody in my family has ever had asthma. When I take a deep breath, I feel great, no coughing, or anything. Just the breathing feels a lil' different when outside in colder weather and at night. Think that's every I need to say. Thank you! Just wanted to say everything so nobody was missing out. Look forward to the answers. Oh and I have never smoked in my life and never plan on it.

Open Question: I have a question about the end of the UAB v Arizona basketball game, and i have a link if u didn't see it?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xi8OtV_-6ag Okay, by now if you have watched up to about 4 minutes into the clip, that is some crap that i just don't understand. I consider myself a logical person. What were the announcers meaning about "HE MUST HAVE THOUGHT THERE WAS A PLAYOFF?" I fail to understand this, and can't think of any circumstance why you would foul someone with less than 30 seconds left in the game when it is tied, and as you can look it happened twice. The first time turned out to be a freshman mistake which is understandable and turned out to help us out. The second one was just plain stupid by a sophomore who should have learned enough to know not to do that. I think that he was gambling on the game and needed UAB to win the game in order to win the bet. That is the only conclusion I can draw from this, because no basketball player can be that stupid!

Should I be mad??? My boyfriend is going to run a marathon in January and this thing is in Arizona, he had originally asked if I wanted to steer up with him since he didn’t want to go y himself and I said I would, now an opportunity came up where a liutenant from his offce is also running this marathon and is driving with arizona but the thing is that it just so happens that this liutenant is a GIRL and she has family there and offered him her parents home so he can stay there (I’m not sure where she is staying) Now the thing with the military is that if you date outside your rank and/or mess around outside your rank you receive jail time and or including termination of your military career. (he is a staff sargent which is lower rank than her) I didn’t say anything I just said o.k but...should I bring it up again??? I’m not sure I’m comfortable with this. i'm not mad that i'm not going anymore, i could go if i wanted to...he is mainly doing it to keep money, plus i'm not sure the invitation was extended to his girlfriend.

Open Question: Which running back should I start week 12?

I need to pick two running backs in week 12. I have Warrick Dunn against Detroit, Brian Westbrook against Baltimore, Chris johnson against New York Jets, Brandon Jacobs against Arizona. Jacobs and Westbrook both seem to be hurt. I have not started Jacobs the past two weeks and left a lot of points on the bench. Who would you start?

Open Question: Kingdom Theme? I'm hosting a youth event in February and I need ideas.?

This event is called 30 Hour Famine. It is where students lift money for starving kids around the world, by asking for supporters while they go 30 hours without food. This year's theme is Kingdom. I am trying to think of ideas for games, places we could visit in Arizona, and decorations if anyone has any that would be great!

Open Question: Is Bush secretly Gay?

Bush In Bed With Homosexuals 1.Candidate George W. Bush appointed four openly homosexual, gay-rights advocates to his presidential campaign steering committee. According to the homosexual group, Log Cabin Republicans, "scores" of Bush state steering committee members and campaign volunteers were homosexuals. 2.Perhaps this explains why hundreds of homosexuals gathered in Washington, D.C., last weekend to "celebrate the achievements and leadership of George W. Bush." It also helps to explain why wealthy Tafel, executive director of Log Cabin Republicans, said, "We want the country to know that we are behind our president and administration." 3.On Dec. 21, 2001, President Bush signed a historic bill, which "for the first time allows the District of Columbia government to fund a program that will give domestic partners of city employees access to health benefits." Remember, Bush insisted that openly homosexual Congressman Jim Kolbe of Arizona be given a prominent speaking role at the Republican National Convention. It was Kolbe who introduced the amendment lifting the ban on gay partner benefits in D.C. 4.Bush named Scot Evertz, a prominent homosexual activist, to head the White home AIDS office even though he had absolutely no experience dealing with public health issues. 5.Bush appointed another homosexual activist, Donald Cappoccia, to the U.S. Commission on Fine Arts. 6.Bush appointed openly homosexual, Michael Guest, as Ambassador to Romania. Since then, Bush has decided to leave in place a Clinton policy that calls for supporting the "unmarried partners" of U.S. Foreign Service workers. This allows Guest's live-in lover to live in the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest and allows him to join Guest at official embassy functions. 7.Bush presided over the appointment of homosexual activist, Stephen Herbits, to oversee the choice of civilian personnel at the Pentagon. 8.Bush has not reversed a single pro-homosexual policy instituted by former president Bill Clinton. Not even one! 9.The Bush administration posted a job for what is called a "gay and lesbian program specialist" at the Department of Agriculture. 10.Bush appointed the ardently pro-homosexual Governor of Massachusetts, Paul Cellucci, as U.S. Ambassador to Canada. 11.Bush appointed Lewis Eisenberg to become the new GOP chief fundraiser. Eisenberg has a long history of supporting pro-homosexual and pro-abortion candidates. You're a good-looking guy.
